INGREDIENTS
250g cream cheese
1 cup (250ml) natural yoghurt
2 apples, sliced
3 tablespoons sugar
3 egg yolks
3 egg whites
2 tablespoons sugar
1 heaped tablespoon flour
butter, softened, as required
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
PREPARATION
Place cream cheese, yoghurt, egg yolks, sugar and flour in a blender.
Blend until creamy.
Fold in vanilla essence.
Beat egg whites with 1 tablespoonful of sugar until stiff.
Fold into mixture.
Peel, core and slice apples.
Drizzle with lemon juice.
Arrange apple attractively on the base of a well greased 20cm tin.
Pour batter onto them and bake in a moderate oven for about 30 minutes or until well cooked.
Turn out while still hot or serve without turning out.
